Fresh developments have emerged in the ongoing House of Representatives investigation into the alleged fake government agency, with the chairman of the ad hoc investigative committee, Hon. Yusuf Gagdi, raising serious concerns over the authenticity of an appointment letter presented during the hearing.

Speaking at the legislative probe, Gagdi alleged that the appointment letter submitted by an individual identified as Matthew Adeniyi, who reportedly claimed to be the Director-General of the agency, appeared to be fake. He stated that the documents and evidence presented before the committee failed to establish any link between the matter and the Chief of Staff to the President, Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila.
According to the committee chairman, no credible evidence has so far implicated Gbajabiamila in the controversy, maintaining that the investigation remains focused on establishing the facts surrounding the alleged illegal agency and the authenticity of the documents presented.
The hearing also featured testimonies from the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation and the Accountant-General of the Federation. Both officials reportedly expressed concerns over the legality of the alleged agency and questioned its operations, describing issues surrounding its activities as requiring thorough investigation.
As the legislative probe continues, public interest in the case has intensified, with many Nigerians awaiting the committee’s final report and recommendations, which are expected to clarify the circumstances surrounding the alleged fake agency and those responsible for its operations.
